The heart of CISV starts at the Junior Branch level.
Here in Halifax youth ages 10 to 25 get together every month for some fun interactive educational activities, lead projects beneficial for the community and twice a year go away for a mini-camp experience.
Junior Branches, or JBs for short, are self-governing so they elect their own leaders, organize meetings and plan their own activities that align with the values of CISV. While each Junior Branch group is different, they all work towards common goals and strive to build inclusive communities.
The Junior Branch in Halifax works to connect youth nation-wide and enhance leadership skills while developing global citizenship and enhancing peace education through local activities and events.
